Simple and Silent

I'm finally in Production 1! Where the dreams of young filmmakers finally come true!

Not really. But it is the first class where coursework involves actually creating content. From conception to delivery, this class teaches the basics of production workflow. I have a good bit of production experience thanks to people like Nick Rau and Justin Premo, but I'm still learning things along the way.

Our first assignment was supposed to be centered around a central question such as "Why are they laughing?" or "What is she doing?" And the catch (which made me rather nervous) was that it was to be completely silent.

This is a great project for young filmmakers who far too often use dialogue as a crutch to explain the narrative or backstory, rather than using images to tell the story.

Get pumped for the next project in a couple weeks!
